Do you ever just fall in love?

Not with a person, this is different.  Do you ever just fall in love with a technique that you think you might just make every card or project using it?  Okay, maybe that is a little much, but I have to tell you that I have fallen in LOVE with the bokeh technique.

Amongst other things in life, I “play” around with photography.  My sweet husband gave me a DSLR (just a fancy name for a nice digital camera) a couple of years ago for my birthday.  I still don’t know how to use all of the features and modes but one thing I LOVE is a blurred background.  Here is a picture I took in March of 2013 inside the Bellagio in Las Vegas:

Example of blurred background

A bokeh (pronounced bow ke) effect is seen in the blurred background.  It can be found in many photos, some of the most impressive are nighttime photos with lights.  I don’t have a lens that will allow me to take really drool worthy pics like the ones I found on THIS WEBSITE but I am truly in love.

I used this Mojo Monday sketch for my card:

This last photo may be my favorite as it has a bokeh effect happening with the glitter!

Here is a quick list of all the Stampin’ Up! supplies used for this card:

Paper:  Coastal Cabana, Real Red and Whisper White cardstock and Silver Glimmer paper

Ink:  Coastal Cabana, Real Red and VersaMark

Etc.:  Banner Punch (Sale-a-Bration sneak peek!), Dazzling Diamonds Stampin’ Glitter, Dimensionals, Heat Tool, Heat & Stick Powder, Jewels Basics Rhinestones, Sponge Dauber and a used dryer sheet

Maybe I should make a tutorial on this, what do you think?
